Steve Hagen - President
Steve graduated in 1975 with a B.S. in Mathematics
from the University Of Scranton. He started his
career as a freelance programmer. Enjoying the
freedom, he and Thomas Fulton founded their own
company, PDF Systems, in 1977. Located in mid-town
Manhattan, PDF Systems is a software development
company that creates custom software for textile
distributors, steel distributors, post-production
facilities, pharmaceutical companies and mail order
houses. The company has installed over 50 software
systems for textile distributors located in the US and
Canada. PDF Systems also created Order-Track Software
for sales representatives to view real time order and
product information posted on the Web by the
distributors they represent. PDF is currently working
on creating Web-based showroom applications.
In 1992, Steve formed Trade Management Services with
Bill Peterson. TMS's main product is Credit Link, a
service that allows Home Furnishing Companies to share
Credit information. He designed and created the
software for Credit Link and continues to make
improvements and enhancements to the service.
Steve is married with 3 children and lives in New
Jersey.
William Peterson - Chairman
Bill Peterson has B.S. in Finance from the University
of Connecticut and an M.S. in Accounting from the
University of Hartford. He is a Certified Management
Accountant by trade but an entrepreneur by design. He
started his career at Colt Industries in their
Financial Management Training program and later moved
on to a successful finance career at CONDEC
Corporation, International Marine Industries and UMC
Electronics, where Bill was Chief Financial Officer.
Bill next took an ownership interest in China Seas
Inc. He led the company's reorganization and sold it
to DSM International, where he became an owner, Senior
VP and Board Member.
Bill left DSM in 1992 to start Trade Management
Services, Inc. with Steve Hagen, but continued to
provide management consulting services for the
wholesale home furnishings industry. Recently he
managed the acquisition of the Donghia Companies for a
group of European investors led by Rubelli s.p.a. and
is currently involved in the post-acquisition
re-organization.
Bill is married with 2 children and resides in
Connecticut.
Marcia Bell - Executive Vice President
Marcia Bell graduated with a B.S. in Marketing from
Michigan State University. Since then, she has worked
for Herman Miller and Steelcase, has had great success
in textile sales, and has taken on numerous business
consulting jobs with residential interior designers.
While at Steelcase, she was responsible for the
Citibank and IBM accounts and traveled extensively
around the world as the Global Account Manager for
those accounts. Marcia worked with many designers from
many cultures and countries on 5 continents. While in
textile sales and through her many consulting
assignments with designers, Marcia developed a passion
for the world of residential designers and trade
showrooms. Marcia joined Trade Management Industries
in 2005 to head up the US marketing of Trade-Link.com.
Marcia lives in New York City with her two poodles,
Sophie and Elliott. While she loves New York, she
still holds on to her Mid-West roots.
